Uses

Laxative

  • relieves occasional constipation (irregularity)
  • this product usually causes bowel movement in 1/2
    to 6 hours

Antacid relieves:

  • heartburn
  • sour stomach
  • acid indigestion
  • upset stomach associated with these symptoms

Warnings

Ask a doctor before use if you have

  • kidney disease
  • a magnesium-restricted diet
  • stomach pain, nausea, or vomiting
  • a sudden change in bowel habits that lasts over 14 days

Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are presently taking a prescription drug. Antacids may interact with certain prescription drugs.When using this product as an antacid, it may have a laxative effect.

Stop use and ask a doctor if

  • you have rectal bleeding or no bowel movement after using this product. These could be signs of a serious condition.
  • you need to use a laxative for more than 1 week

Antacid

Stop use and ask a doctor if

  • you have taken the maximum dose for more than 2 weeks

If  pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use.Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

Directions

  • do not exceed the maximum recommended daily dose in a 24 hour period

Laxative

  • dose may be taken once in a 24 hour period preferably at bedtime, in divided doses, or as directed by a doctor
  • drink a full glass (8 oz) of liquid with each laxative dose

adults and children 12 years and older

  • chew 8 tablets

children 6 to 11 years

  • chew 4 tablets

children 3 to 5 years

  • chew 2 tablets

children under 3 years

  • ask a doctor

Antacid

  • take every 4 hours up to 4 times in a 24 hour period or as directed by a doctor

adults and children 12 years and older

  • chew 2 to 4 tablets

children under 12 years
